It will be funny to see the drop in social media posts as more people lose power and cell phone batteries run dry.
50-60 million people will be affected by this storm. The rest of the world will be affected because Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, and a bunch of other sites are hosted on Amazon Web Services which has a primary data center in northern Virginia.

Crap, I just remembered my site is hosted at a data center in Virginia.
I have a feeling I’ll be posting more since I’m not going anywhere today.
Hopefully the fact that I have underground power lines will keep the electrons flowing here.
If I keep power the internet should be extremely fast since everyone without power will be disconnected.
This storm could affect Europe too. Most of the trans-Atlantic cables originate in NYC.
